Snapshot Saturday Twitter Event
I recently came across at Catherine Zuromskis book Snapshot Photography: The Lives of Images when prowling Amazon for something new to read and began thinking more about this ubiquitous and recently celebrated form of photographic practice.
So, I thought we might explore a new Twitter based snapshot event: “Snapshot Saturday.” It’s simple to participate: make an image tomorrow, share via Twitter tagged @F295 #SnapshotSaturday and hashtag your location. We all have access to interesting and exciting things that no one else usually sees, try and find one and share it with us.
I’m looking forward to seeing your images. As a few of these events unfold, perhaps we’ll pull together an exhibition of work along with some essays from both proponents and critics of this ubiquitous form of photographic practice. I’m excited to see how this goes…
