Photobook: Oyeme Con Los Ojos
Josephine Sacabo (2012 F295 Alum) lives and works mostly in New Orleans where she has been strongly influenced by the ambience of the city. Her beautiful book Oyem Con Los Ojos (Hear Me with Your Eyes) was released in 2012. The 86 page, 10.25 x 12.25,” hard bound book collects a variety of her work made between 1987 and 2011. The images are dreamy, ethereal, and are often inspired by poems, nature, or invented allegory. Each picture seamlessly blends a sense of time, space, and emotion to present a feeling larger than the subject itself. The book includes images that were originally created as silver prints or photo-gravures.
