F295 is actively seeking fresh and exciting work to feature on our recently redesigned web site. We enjoy considering a variety of work –from photo books and portfolios to singular images, essays, and reviews– to feature on the site.
Work submitted for consideration does not have to include the use of historical photographic process (calotype and daguerreotype to silver gelatin and pigment prints will be considered!), but there should be strong consideration given as to how the final means of production and presentation informs the viewers experience of the work and helps articulate your artistic message. Please do not begin the statement or explanatory info about the image(s) with the process, type of camera, or lens information. If the apparatus used to create the image is the most interesting thing about it, you might consider rethinking the project.
F295 is recognized as a world-wide leader in the investigation of contemporary photographic practice and imagery by exploring works created with a purposeful dialogue between content, subject, and process. Submission is free and is a great way to expose your work to an international audience. Let’s work together to get your images and thoughts in front of the thousands of regular F295 readers around the world!
